All About Snus
Snus is a traditional Swedish smokeless product processed by cutting ground leaves, sun-dried, then crushed into powder. It's then heated for 24-36 hours at 100 °C in a process called Pasteurization. Finally, it is packaged and chilled.
Snus is available loose or portioned (in pouches resembling tiny tea bags) and consumed by placing the pouch or a pinch between the gum and upper lip.
Why Snus?
- The convenient, smokeless pouches are spit-free and discreet. You can carry it anywhere and use it anytime without disturbing your activities or people around you.
- It also comes it a variety of flavors, textures and strengths to suit everyone's needs.
- It’s packaging is more fashionable than cigarette packs.
- It is, of course, far less harmful than smoking cigarettes and widely known to help quit smoking.
Snus vs. Nicotine Pouches
- Original: Contains an original and smoke aroma.
- Nicotine pouches: A blend of herbs and flavors to create a tasty experience similar to using regular snus. The nicotine is extracted from the Nicotiana tabacum plant and crystalized into nicotine salt, but the plant itself is not used.
Types of Snus
- Original Portion– More moistened, offers bolder flavours & a faster release.
- White Portion – Dryer on the surface, offers less drip, a milder longer-lasting flavor release that can last up to 1-1.30 hours.
- White Slim Portion – White portion snus in a slimmer and longer form, making it more convenient to use.
- Loose – A moistened, finely ground leaf, where you make portions with your fingers to put under your lip. It is the basis of traditional Swedish snus. It has a much deeper, richer, and more full-bodied flavor and taste.
- All-White Dry – White in color and usually don't stain your teeth as traditional brown snus might. All-White Dry is generally tobacco-free, made instead from other plants, and provides a slower release of nicotine and flavor compared to the moist version but usually offers a longer-lasting experience.
